No, not the yarn. But that’s nice too.
I’m talking about the Jitterbug Coffee Hop at 1855 . 700 E. in Salt Lake City – that’s where the SLC SnB group meets on Tuesday nights.
When Laurie selected the Jitterbug as the SnB meeting place four years ago, she couldn’t have selected a better place. The food and coffee are great (and the cheesecake is to die for), and Bruce, the owner, couldn’t be nicer. The place has a fun atmosphere – like an old-time malt shop maybe, but one with a nice little living room if you want to settle in for a while and admire the Betty Boop memorabilia.
Bruce makes a nice variety of sandwiches, salads, and nachos – and there are even vegan burritos (Rico – yum!), and some breakfast items. Oh, and did I mention the cheesecake?
The best part is that it’s a great little neighborhood type of place – it’s like going to a friend’s house. Unfortunately, it’s easy to zip right by without noticing it, especially in the dark. Look for it next door to Dirk’s Dry Cleaners.
I know there probably aren’t many people reading this blog who live in the area and don’t already go to the Jitterbug, but in case there are – come check it out! Especially on a Tuesday night when the place is hoppin’.
Thank you Bruce, for everything you’ve done for us! Boop-boop-a-doop!
Bruce is the type of guy that on my birthday, he just walked over and gave me my favorite latte. Now isn’t that nice! Always so sweet he is! I like to think the painting on the wall is called “three women knitting” what do you think?
Anne in Calgary
*sniff* I wanna go there!
I agree that the sandwiches are wonderful. Wish I could be with you guys every Tuesday!
I’m making it a goal to go more than 3 times this year 🙂
Yay, Lauren!
I think Bruce has a thing for Anne–he never gives ME free latte.
hehe
You should try his bagel with cream cheese, tomato and bacon. Mmmmm. I get one almost daily.
