Amidst my travels yesterday, I just happened to drive by Bohemian Yarn & Imports. I’d heard about it, but hadn’t ever been there. It’s a tiny store located in an old house, on 11th East just west of the Brickyard. I thought I’d stop in check it out. For those who are interested, they have some nice 100% merino baby yarn from Norway, a large selection of Sandra knitting magazines from Austria, a few books, some 100% cotton yarns, and a lot of acrylic and acrylic blend yarns. They also had a lot of knitted and crocheted items for sale – I didn’t look closely, but they looked like mostly baby items. The Sandra magazines looked interesting, but I didn’t have time to take more than a quick glance. The owners were very nice.
As for my Central Park Hoodie button quest, I saw some nice leather toggle-type buttons at Fashion Affair, but besides being a little pricey, they were also a bit large. Jo-Ann’s had some dark brown wood ones that will probably work, but only had 4 in stock. Hmmmm.
Good luck on the button search… Why is it when you know exactly what you want, you can’t find it??
Sorry for the crap grammar, but are those them? Great size, I like ’em. Maybe it’s time to go to the Jo-Ann Palace down where Teri lives?
I love the little tweedy bits in that sweater. Good luck in the button search.
Maybe a different JoAnn’s… or their website?
Yeah, come head over to the GINORMOUS Jo-Ann!
The sweater is wonderful – hope you find buttons you love!
I love those buttons—-there has got to be more than one JoAnn’s around there!
