Tasty Yarn

Last night we had a “Yarn Tasting” at Blazing Needles, one of our local yarn shops. We each got a plate of yarn to play with, while chatting and enjoying lots of good food and beverages. My favorite turned out to be knitting with one strand of Habu A-148 Wool/Stainless Steel, and one strand of Habu Tsumugi silk, held together. What an interesting fabric it made! I may have to make a scarf out of that combination.

I didn’t think to take my camera, so all I had with me was my phone to take a picture of our plate of goodies:

dang, I was planning on going, but kid junk got in the way (as per usual, I know). I assume there was tasting of wine as well as yarn?

I have a friend who just bought a bunch of Habu to make a lace scarf. She’s really liking it. I get to touch it when I see her for happy hour this week.
