Borski Farms CSA, Week 3: Raspberries, sweet cherries, peas, zucchini, yellow squash, and 6 oz of Beehive Cheese Co.’s Promontory Cheddar.
And I also took a walk to check out the new Rico Locals Food Co-Op, located on 5th East and 8th South (formerly Rico’s store/restaurant). There’s a Salt Lake Magazine article on it here.
It’s only been open a few weeks, so they’re still stocking up. Supposedly they will be adding produce, too. Most of the items are (of course) Rico’s products, but there’s also fresh local milk and eggs, Drake Family Farms goat milk and cheese, Morgan Valley Lamb, beef jerky, sauces (Alfredo, pesto, etc.), salsas, Beehive cheese, gluten-free brownies, vegan ice cream and nutmilks, etc. Everything is locally produced, of course. I couldn’t leave empty-handed, so I took home a small Beverly Hill’s flourless chocolate cake. Mmmm.
Yum!
What a wonderful little store.
Look out, or you’ll have Margene on your doorstep for flourless chocolate cake. 🙂
Margene, nuthin’. I’ll be there for cake shortly! 😉
Fun! Can’t wait to see what you find there.
Oh my what a wonderful thing to have in the neighborhood. I’m going to drop in there soon even though it’s out of my way. Did you say FLOURLESS cake??
Oh yum. Nice CSA goodies!
