CSA – Week 7

This post should be a little easier on the eyes than the last one. Even though it has the same colors.

The goodies for this week:

CSA - week 7

Corn, plums, peaches, green beans, cabbage, and blackberries. Good thing I held off cooking the green beans I picked yesterday – now I’ll do them all together.

I’ll probably make a soup or stew with at least some of the cabbage, as we’re not big on cole slaw.

    This photo is MUCH easier on the eyes. It will be very good for the tummy, too.

    We’re a big cabbage salad family, oil and vinegar, slightly heavier on the vinegar, salt and pepper! Unfortunately the great grandmother on my Belgian side loved boiled cabbage, which is officially gross.

    Use the cabbage to make colcannon! The ultimate comfort food.

    I love cabbage on ham sandwiches. It’s my favorite actually. Looks like a really nice cabbage.

    Use the cabbage for a Chinese Chicken Salad. I can send you my recipe – its really good. You’ll forget you’re even eating cabbage!
