Changes are Coming

Especially when it comes to the weather.

A 30-degree drop between Tuesday and Wednesday? Shudder. I’m not ready. Although the high temperatures we’ve had lately have been a bit unusual for September.

The weather at the Knitters’ Retreat over the weekend was awesome. Mostly t-shirt weather as long as you were in the sun, but in the shade or in the breeze, a nice woolly sweater was welcome. We ate, we drank, we knit, we hiked. There were over 30 people this year – it was a great turnout. I’ll have more on that later after I download my photos.

Yeah, we’re not supposed to hit 60 today. Right now it’s 50 and very cloudy and damp.

Alas, we are still aiming for the low 100s today. Taos this weekend is expected to be in the 60-70 range, and I. CAN’T. WAIT. I forgot what cold feels like.

I’m so glad you had a good weekend.

I guess it’s a good thing you’ve knit a couple of sweaters this year since fall is coming and all. ;^)

Ya know, I’m starting to think our Carrie needs a walk-in freezer.

Sounds like a great time. I think our weather is changing, too, although the drop hasn’t been that precipitous.

The weather at our knitting retreat was awesome last weekend as well. It was almost 80 at the beach yesterday. I’m so happy I was there and not at home in the 103 degree weather.

Ok, don’t kill me, but I walked around Silver Lake today! It was harder than I thought (no air), but so worth the hour and half it took me. The aspens weren’t near peak but they were amazing in the sun. Pieces of eight hanging from branches and that blue sky behind= awesome! Now it can can cool off, I just hope it bounces back to a few more days (months?) of warmer temps.

  7. How fun, I’m so glad you had such a good time.
