I spied this vest on Ravelry this morning, and was interested in how the pockets (and trim) were done (click the photo to go to the pattern page on the Gosyo website):
I used Google Translate to translate the general information on the page, and as I read the translated description, nearly fell off my chair in hysterical laughter:
Best large loose silhouette. Best of the size of the buttocks relaxed completely hidden length. I include the air was thick was tightly knit Merino child. Good pockets of cute. Not feeling the best appears to be so with collar, while collar is knitted together we weave body.
I’m still somewhat mystified by the pockets. In the pattern, it appears that the trim is crocheted from orange yarn, but in the photo, it looks like they’re edged with the plaid fabric.
And what is halfway around the globe from Japan? Why Norway, of course, where we find these socks that I find strangely compelling. Sadly (or perhaps fortunately), I will not have time to knit them before Christmas.
I must admit to being somewhat disconcerted by their lack of little snowmen eyes.
Gives a new meaning to “mystery pattern,” eh??
Oh come on! Who doesn’t want pockets of cute?!
Why did it call me knittngcookie? WTF?! This is what I get for clearing my cache.
Bwa-ha-ha! That is crazily unhelpful. 🙂
Ah. Relaxed buttocks are better. I’ve been wondering. LOL!
I’m still trying to figure out her outfit in general. I disagree with Carrie#K, I don’t want my buttocks relaxed completely to their hidden length.
Actually, it looks more like a rainbow ombre than plaid. I’m guessing the orange is just the color that they happened to start at?
Scratch that. Orange seems to be a yarn line, not a color…

Good catch! Yes, that looks exactly right.
The snowmen look like zombies.
I dunno, I like the zombie snowmen. I think I would definitely add your missing eyes (their missing eyes?) and maybe use a blue background. If they come to eat my brains, so be it.
