FO: Murcia

It may not have been sunny out, but given that it was in the mid-50’s, it wasn’t too bad a day for photos. At least I didn’t freeze.

Pattern: Murcia
Yarn: Classic Elite Skye Tweed, color 1288 “Marmalade”, 4 skeins
Needles: US 9/5.5mm
Modifications: None

Ravelry project here.

Lovely! I have been wanting a lacy-but-not-fancy thicker shawl for Gramma, and I believe you have found eet!

I think the yarn I used was perhaps a bit TOO dense and thick – a loftier Aran-weight yarn would probably be better. Or at least one with a little better drape than the Sky Tweed. I’m sure the Malabrigo it calls for drapes much better. But the pattern is nice, and it will definitely be warm. I think it would probably work fine with worsted-weight yarns, too.

I can see how it might be dense, but what a snuggly wrap for curling up with a cup of coffee and a good book in the wee hours!

Hopefully it’s something you’ll wear. The color is great on you, as we know!
