Some of the new items I have come home to find in the past week are shown below. Click for bigger.
A cute little keepsake box made of oak and walnut. The top swivels open on the pin. The inside bottom has since been lined with red felt:
A trivet made of a tile inset into an oak frame:
A trivet that looks like a waffle, cut from a single piece of wood:
And a business card holder made from a pretty piece of striped wood (from the mystery bin at the woodworking shop). Probably zebrawood:
Wow, he’s really on a roll! I bet he has the holiday list covered…
love the trinket box and the trivit with tile. So nice. Maybe my dear heart will take up wood working at some point.
Smith is looking rather enviously at Larry’s serious skills! (and the tools he’s got, too).
The box is so dear and the waffle trivet is a wonder to behold!! Good job, L!!
Love the trivet. He should make smaller ones so you can use them for Laurie’s soap.
Fabulous. Everything you two do is Craft, in the best sense of artisans and real know-how.
He is so good!
So, so so nice! Lovely wood work. You’re a lucky girl!
