It’s a blankie! A baby blankie!
Now I just need to decide where it goes.
I have a grand-nephew due today (he’s evidently going to be fashionably late), but since his parents live in Phoenix, a thick baby blanket might not be the best choice as a baby gift.
A better option would probably be my 5-month-old grand-nephew in Massachusetts.
Pattern: Umaro, sort of*
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick, about 4 1/2 skeins
Needles: US 15/10mm
*When I saw this pattern, I knew the stitch pattern was familiar. Susan pointed out that it was in a Japanese pattern book I own. So I just used the blanket idea from Umaro, and the stitch pattern out of my book.
Project notes here.
Pretty!!
It’s lovely, no matter where it ends up.
That Susan is so good! No wonder you two are friends. ;^)
So pretty! In blue they remind me of whale tails.
I agree the blanket looks lovely and made well 🙂
It’s beautiful and I think you should send it on over to Massachusetts! Our winter is predicted to be quite cold and that baby is going to need a blanket.
So so so pretty.
Just gorgeous! (And appreciated wherever it lands, I’m sure.)
Beautiful!
