The color of the week is yellow.
I have a variety of tulips that bloom from very-early-spring to late spring. I did deliberately plant a variety of colors and bloom times, but I didn’t plan for specific colors at certain times. As it turns out, they start off with red-and-white candy-striped, move to red, then orange, yellow, then purple. There’s a bit of overlap, of course, but it’s interesting that they follow the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, [green, blue,]* purple.
Also, the serviceberry tree is in full bloom – it’s spectacular.
* Although there actually is a green tulip, I don’t have any. But it’s classified as “late spring”, so it would probably fall right into proper place if I did. As for blue, there are no true blue tulips.
Pretty! I love tulips. I always type tupils, though.
Spring IS coming! So they say. We have a few more weeks of spring flowers to enjoy!
You know I’m jealous of that tulip haul! Gorgeous.
I guess I’ll have to live vicariously through people who are actually having spring…
Lovely display of spring. Want!
Woo Hoo!
My color of the week was tired. Maybe that’s the color of the month…
Our redbuds are almost out of bloom. It’s been a lovely spring. Your bush is amazing! I love white in the yard (when it’s NOT snow!)
