I have inched forward on Relax, (AKA the giant pink tent), but it’s definitely something that will be long in the making. I guess it’s only fitting that it looks rather like a snail at the moment.
I have about 30 rows done, out of about 30 million. I think I need to have my head examined.
In more exciting pink news, I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the kalanchoe I’ve had for several years had a tall stem with buds on it. What a surprise! I never expected it to rebloom, and I’ve just kept it for the foliage. Today one of the blooms is open, and it’s a lovely shade of pink.
(Looking at these photos, it seems as though I should be able to get in some sort of joke about snails and oysters here.)
At any rate, the pink has been a nice bright spot in a string of dark, rainy days, and the kalanchoe makes me very happy, even if it is only one tiny cluster of flowers.
Huh. I never knew they’d bloom again.
What a lovely color for that sweater. It will indeed take a while to knit, but it will be very wearable. I’ve bookmarked it! Thanks.
Kalanchoe usually give up and die after they’ve finish blossoming, but then, that could be my neglect once the color is gone. We know it’s not a race to the finish, otherwise we’d never begin. You’ll love that sweater when finished.
The sweater is going to have lots of rows that’s for sure. I hope you have more patience than me. I’m working on a sweater using worsted/aran weight with a size 7 needle and I’m ready to shoot myself.
The flower is so pretty. Just what is needed during a long winter! 🙂
Beautiful bloom.
I had no idea that your giant pink tent was worked flat. You poor crazy little thing. Bless your heart.
