Cat on a hot tin roof. Or a cold cedar roof. Whatever.
This was the only way she could be in the sun and still keep watch over us as we enjoyed one of our last dinners on the patio for the year.
In other house-related stuff, we finished repairing and painting our front porch just before the cold weather and rain moved in. I don’t know how long the paint will last on the old wood, but for now it looks pretty good. It’s still a bit lopsided, but unless we want to replace the entire thing, that’s something we’ll have to live with. At least the steps were replaced with new wood, so they’re nice and solid. We got a little creative with the paint.
Now that the warm weather has passed, we can turn our attention back to the mudroom. Paint has been selected, cabinets have been purchased, holes have been cut in the ceiling (changing the track lights to recessed lights).
Did she come down on her own? Or did you have to go up there and get her? *L*
xo
Oh, she always comes down on her own. She likes the roof.
Ack! Holes in the ceiling?!? Almost as bad as holes in the roof! Maybe she was inspecting the roof for you? I do love the porch, it looks so inviting.
I’ve watch her come down before. It makes my heart stop to see her up there, but Princess looks perfectly happy! The porch looks amazing!
Love it! I’m sorry to hear about the hack. I went through it a couple of years ago and what a pain!!!
I want to hang out on that porch. It’s ironic that we are a day’s drive apart, but your porch-days are ending right about the time mine are beginning.
Love the cat picture!! My cat would be afraid just looking up! I think she’s the original “Fraidy Cat”. Your porch looks really nice – I love my porch. You both have done a lot of work this summer. I still don’t know how you get so much knitting done. You must knit with the speed of light – and it looks perfect!
It looks awesome.
What a fun spot for a kitty! The photo reminds me of the roof scene in To Catch a Theif.
Your porch looks beautiful. You two certainly are not idle!
The porch looks like a great place to sit on sunny, warm days…
